Aakam.ai (a brand of Lex Sentinel Ltd, "we", "us") is the data controller for personal data processed through this platform. We are committed to handling your data lawfully, fairly and transparently in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Data we collect

Candidates: name, contact details, CV, work history, qualifications, salary expectations, interview recordings and assessment outputs. Employers: company details, billing information, role briefs and shortlist feedback.

2. How we use it

To match candidates to roles, deliver assessments, manage placements, communicate with you, and meet legal and accounting obligations. We use AI-assisted tools to score, summarise and rank candidate suitability; a human recruiter reviews every shortlist before it leaves Aakam.ai.

3. Lawful basis

Legitimate interests (matching candidates to roles), contract (delivering recruitment services), consent (interview recordings and marketing), and legal obligation (record-keeping).

4. Sharing

We share candidate profiles with prospective employers only when you have applied or expressly opted into outreach. We use sub-processors (cloud hosting, email, AI inference) under written contract.

5. Retention

Candidate profiles are retained for up to 24 months from your last activity. Interview recordings are deleted after 12 months unless required for an ongoing placement.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, restrict processing, and object to legitimate-interest processing. Email privacy@aakam.ai. You may also complain to the ICO.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We use a small number of analytics cookies to understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
